Life is a journey, and I believe there is an Iron Cowgirl in every one of us women; I became one.
Ever Feel like running away? Running Away From EVERYTHING and EVERYONE? I did, and it was a journey of a lifetime!
"The greatest feeling in the world is to have people believe in you, when you don't have the strength to believe in yourself".
Thank You to all who relate to the words I write... I'm "Chasing My Dreams" with a fury!
When I returned home I started writing, and from
that point on, I haven't stopped. Click on pic -->>

Who Is The Iron
Cowgirl?
15,000 Miles in 10 weeks = Iron Will and a Heart of Steel. Educated by school, and taught by life.
Thank you for being part of my journey! Here's a little about me...
Growing up on a farm
,
has given me a love for horses
,
motorcycles
,
the outdoors
,
music
,
and always a good
challenge! I''ve ridden across the state of Michigan
(MTRA
Member) four times
,
and each time
was a journey and great sense of accomplishment
, not to
mention the opportunity of playing my
guitar around a campfire
,
meeting a ton of really great people
and making life-long
friends! In 2003, I was diagnosed with a characinoid tumor, three days
later my horse
,"Roger"
passed
away; I was devastated
,
and spent a while at The
Cleveland Cancer Clinic and thank to great doctors and God, I've been
cancer free for six years.
Life Is Good, It's Another Great Day
!
Life has thrown a few curve balls, and basically being a single mom for the last nineteen years, I would
consider myself a very strong
,
very determined
woman.
There wasn't anything that I couldn't do, if I put my mind to it
.
However, my biggest challenge was to stop my emotions from overriding my clear thinking (as my mom would
say), and walk away
from a
relationship,
"A
Casualty" as he called it.
The
memories
have been put into lyrics
and
created by pain, I can't help myself................
Believing in love, turned my Heart to Steel. An Iron Cowgirl I became,
riding a horse with two
wheels
I let go of the reins
and grabbed a hold of that wheel, I was chasing the sun, trying to heal.
I would ride for hours, days at a time, trying to find
me
,
one mile at a time ..
15,000 miles to be exact, taking me 10 weeks, and yes
that's a fact.. I rode around the coast of Michigan
, but
it wasn't far enough
away. I headed down to Florida
, to the Gulf of
Mexico
,
but still couldn't find my way. The Smoky
Mountains were beautiful
and I met a Dragon in
Deals Gap
318 curves, 11 miles,
and I wasn't looking back. With a tent, a
sleeping bag
and my guitar strapped to the side of my bike, I headed West on Rt.
90, into the night
.
Riding away from the one I love,
looking for a little help from
up above.
Finally arriving in Sturgis, South Dakota
at "The
Legendary Buffalo Chip", where the people are so free, the
Presidents from the past
and Crazy Horse
was a sight to see!
I would camp along
the way
and play at night. My heart and my mind were a continuous fight.
I rode and rode, I seen every sun set
, I met so many kind people
I'll never
forget!
When I returned home
, I
started writing about my journey.
From that point on,
I haven't
looked back
The lessons and the memories , I would never trade, they've all been
defined, by this music I've
made.
